The digital stock of one of the largest bitcoin kits, MicroStrategy, remained unchanged (132,500 BTC). In early 2023, the company did not acquire or announce the purchase of the first cryptocurrency.
In January, Chicago-based market maker Group One owned 1,261,744 shares of MicroStrategy, the equivalent of a 13.49% stake. The analytics software provider’s capitalization is down 60.7% over the past year.
Tesla’s Bitcoin holdings also remained unchanged. The negative revaluation of 9,720 BTCs held on the balance sheet during 2022 was $204 million, the gain from converting some coins was $64 million, and the net loss was $140 million.
